Stafford Gadget Fans Queue from 4 am for new iPhone
Hundreds of excited shoppers headed to the Guildhall Shopping Centre this morning ahead of the launch of the new iPhone.
Gadget fans queued from the very early hours outside O2’s store in the centre, desperate for the first opportunity to buy the iPhone 4. Centre bosses were forced to segregate the huge queues, to allow other shoppers access to the rest of the shops.
And nearby Starbucks supplied free coffee and cinnamon muffins to those who had sacrificed their breakfast to get there for O2’s 8.02 am opening time.

Another plaudit for Evans.
High Street retailer Evans have won the Best plus size Brand category at the "Celebs on Sunday" Fashion Awards 2010.
Why we love Evans

Evans discount event a success.
Evans have reported that their 30% discount event held last week has been hugely successful with the Guildhall store being rated as the top store out of 26 stores in the area.
Other positive feedback from Evans shows that the Guildhall's store performed best on sales (compared to plan as well as compared to the previous week) and reported they were up 300% on account/store card recruitment against target.

Independent Study: Guildhall is 3rd best shopping centre in West Midlands.
Stafford’s largest shopping attraction has risen five places in an independent index of shopping centres, after increasing revenue by almost 20% through the recession.
The Guildhall Shopping Centre is now third in the list of major shopping centres, put together by international retail data specialists CACI, after adding another £40m to the £240m customer spend recorded in 2008-09.

The Pie and Ale House launch their Summer menu
The Pie and Ale House, on Crabbery Street, have launched their new Summer menu and it's already going down a treat!

The X-Factor comes to Stafford!
On the 6th May the Guildhall Shopping Centre installed an X Factor branded karaoke booth where people can choose from hundreds of songs to record live, on their own or with friends.

'Know your Blood Pressure' event at the Guildhall.
On Saturday 1st May, Local Rotary clubs in Stafford, Stafford Knot, Stafford Castle and Stafford are joining forces with The Stroke Association, Diabetics UK, Cancer team and Mid-Staffs NHS Foundation Trust to raise awareness of Stroke, Diabetes and Cancer.

The Lottery Kiosk re-opens
Rieves UK Limited has re-opened the Lottery Kiosk in the Guildhall Shopping Centre. The kiosk, which served the community for 14 years closed last year, but will once again provide the National Lottery and services to the people of Stafford and the surrounding areas.

Guildhall raises funds for Donna Louise Children's Hospice
Shoppers at the Guildhall Shopping Centre raised a fantastic £4,085.37 for The Donna Louise Children’s Charity Hospice in 2009. These funds were accumulated as a result of fund raising at events organised by the Guildhall Shopping Centre during the year.

Poppy Appeal 2009
Regular shoppers at the Guildhall Shopping Centre will remember that we supported the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal in 2009. We have received notification that the amount raised in North Staffordshire was an amazing £363,184 which represents an incredible10% increase on the previous year. The national Poppy Appeal in total has raised over £30 million. Well done and a big THANK YOU to all our shoppers!!
